Whooping cough vaccination
Whooping cough vaccination for pregnant women
Whooping cough is an infectious disease that can cause severe coughing. It is especially dangerous for young babies who have not yet been vaccinated. A good way to protect newborn babies from whooping cough is to give women a whooping cough shot during pregnancy. Since 2019, all pregnant women have been offered this shot.

This was decided by State Secretary Blokhuis of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport on July 17, 2018.
More information about the whooping cough vaccination for pregnant women can be read on the RIVM website
