Rhesus
At the first check-up, blood is taken from you. This is checked for your blood type and your Rhesus factor, among other things.

During pregnancy, 2 blood groups receive special attention: Rhesus D neg and Rhesus c neg. Rhesus disease occurs when unborn or newborn babies are anemic as a result of red blood cell breakdown. The breakdown of red blood cells in these babies is caused by antibodies from the mother. It is known that antibodies to the “rhesus factor” (the rhesus D blood group) can cause this. But sometimes blood group antibodies to other blood groups are also responsible for this.
