Maternity care

A maternity nurse provides care for the mother and baby during the first week after childbirth and assists the midwife during the delivery. She teaches you how to care for your baby, performs medical checks on both mother and baby, and supports the family with household tasks.

A maternity nurse is employed by a maternity care organization, but works under the supervision of the midwife.
In case of questions, doubts or problems, she will contact the midwife. We work most closely with the following maternity care agencies and would appreciate it if you sign up with one.
