Complaints
Do you have a complaint?
Don’t keep walking around with it. Discuss your complaint with your midwifery. It is important that you feel comfortable with your midwife. After all, being pregnant is exciting enough. That’s why we do everything we can to make sure you and your baby are well supported.

Do you find yourself with questions? With doubts? Are you dissatisfied with something? Tell us. Preferably as soon as possible, but even if it’s been bothering you for a while. Then we can talk about it together and try to do something about it quickly. Perhaps we can clear up a misunderstanding. Or reassure you. Or start working in a way that you feel more comfortable with.
We like to make a separate appointment with you. Then we can have some quiet time to talk. If you find it difficult to have the conversation, you can bring someone you trust with you to this meeting.
Engage a complaints officer
Would you like to know more about your rights or would you like advice? Or would you first like to discuss your complaint with someone else? Or would you like someone to help you file a complaint?
Please contact the complaints officer.
The complaints officers are impartial. They discuss with you what you are dissatisfied about and what you would like to achieve with your complaint. They will advise you what you can do. They will also help you to talk to us if you find that difficult. Or to write a letter about the complaint. The complaints officer can help you and us find a solution together. Everything you tell the complaints officer is confidential.

The midwife will try, possibly together with the complaints officer, to resolve your complaint within six weeks. Within this period you will receive from us what we have done with your complaint.
If you do not come to an agreement with the midwife and the mediation of the complaints officer, you can submit your complaint to the Geschilleninstantie Verloskunde. This independent body will investigate and assess whether your complaint is justified. It will issue a binding decision.
