Delivery bath rental

Considering giving birth in water? Good idea! The midwives at Lekbrug are experienced in assisting with a birth in water.

Our midwifes see the following benefits, among others:

• Heat from the water provides an analgesic effect, you can relax better between contractions this can have a positive effect on the duration of labor.
• Room for movement. The water makes you weightless and the space of the tub allows you to change positions easily.
• The baby has a peaceful transition from life inside to outside the womb.
• The heat creates better blood flow to your pelvic floor this can reduce the risk of tearing.

Are you interested in renting a bath? Tessa (Team South) and Imke (Team North) offer the following baths.

When you rent a birthing pool, you will also receive a personal birth kit, including a hygienic personal liner, a BPA-free hose, a scoop net, a thermometer, a submersible pump, and instructions.

The rental fee for the pool is €165.

The rental period runs from 37 to 42 weeks of pregnancy.

If you decide not to use the birthing pool and return all items from the personal birth kit in their original packaging, you will receive a €40 refund.

Pools can be picked up and returned at the practice.
